Project summary
ARMA is the utimate destination for elite Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) training, with the world’s best Jiu-Jitsu athletes and cutting-edge recovery programmes.

The client approached us to help design a pioneering building that achieves their vision to ‘Go Beyond’ the traditional martial arts gyms in the UK, and create a ‘home from home’ environment in which training, working and relaxing can all co-exist. With a focus on wellness, lifestyle, community and inclusivity, ARMA is designed to encourage participation from all types of people, from beginners and children, to highly experienced athletes.

ARMA Clapham features a welcoming entrance juice bar, an immersive spa with sauna and ice baths, a state-of-the art training gym, two interconnected Jiu-Jitsu Dojos, and a luxury co-working lounge with outdoor terrace.

The project comprises the conversion of an existing three storey office building, including two new rooftop extensions and a complete internal reconfiguration.
